Customer loyalty: B2B Video Academy impresses specialist retailers
Videos and live digital formats promote image building even among business partners, as knife manufacturer Wüsthof learned in the lockdown. Following the success of its Cutting Academy, which targeted younger, ambitious hobby cooks via YouTube, the Solingen-based company launched its own B2B Academy in the Corona period. Designed to support sales partners in 80 countries, the video format has noticeably helped recent sales growth, according to the management consultancy Atreus.
According to Wüsthof, the three 30-minute episodes, broadcast in eight languages during the summer, generated high viewer numbers. “Exciting and relevant content is the key to success,” sums up Martin Bieri, Global Vice President Sales & Product Development. “Digital formats are set for the future as an integral part of sales.”
In the video relay, the company relied on dealer training, presentations of the knife series, digital factory tours and challenges. In addition to the professionalism of the videos, Bieri considers the close integration of service and sales representatives as well as a skilful interlinking with the website and web stores to be decisive for success.
