Michael had an accomplished carrier at Bayer holding multiple positions with increasing responsibilities at Bayer sites in Germany and Bayer USA. He was Vice President of Bayer Healthcare Engineering having worldwide responsibility for all biopharmaceutical capital projects. He also gained valuable GMP pharmaceutical operational experience as plant manager. Michael offers more than 30 year’s experience in strategy development, conceptualization, prioritization, planning and execution of pharmaceutical and biotech investment projects. Michael is a thoughtful thinker, result-oriented leader, and skilled in leading cross-functional and multicultural international teams.

Michael has also been an active member of ISPE (International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers) and member of GPM Focus Team (German Society for Project Management). Michael holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Material Sciences from RWTH Aachen, Germany.
