Dr. Urban Keussen has more than 30 years of experience in the utility business, whereof more than 20 years on c-level as Managing Director and SVP at E.ON, as CEO at TenneT and finally as CTO at EWE.

He was in charge of investments and operation of the power and gas infrastructure, power and gas storage assets, renewable generation on- and offshore and the hydrogen business as well as venture capital and IT. He also represented these topics in national and European bodies.

Today he is member of the Supervisory Board of DTEK Grids b.v., Advisor at the DLR Institute for Interconnected Energy Systems and advises different players in the energy business.

He holds a degree in Physics from the Kiel University and a PhD in Applied Physics.
