
Stephan Sielaff is a seasoned executive in the textiles, specialty chemicals, and FMCG sectors, driving commercial transformation and operational excellence in both private equity-backed and publicly listed environments. From 2022 to 2024, he served as CEO of Lenzing AG, an Austrian publicly listed company specializing in cellulosic pulp and fibers.
Stephan Sielaff was a board member of the Austrian Federation of Industry (Industriellenvereinigung) and CIRFS, the European Man-Made Fibres Association.
Prior to his tenure as CEO, he served as Chief Technology and Operating Officer at Lenzing, where he successfully delivered the largest investment program in the company’s history—on time and within budget—while driving significant improvements in operations and procurement.
Stephan Sielaff began his career in 1994 at Unilever Home & Personal Care, where he held key positions in both marketing and operations, excelled in various management roles, and led numerous projects until 2005. From 2005 to 2014, he made significant contributions at Symrise, a leading producer of flavors and fragrances. From 2014 to 2020, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Archroma Management in Switzerland, a PE-owned producer of specialty chemicals for the textiles and paper industries.
Stephan holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Dortmund.
